"Pattern for us equals design. Designs already start from patterning. You can start without usual sketches or design drawings. You can even make clothes without paper patterns though they are useful for mass production and to show people exactly how particular clothes need to be made. I express a concept to the patterners in words or through nuance. Design starts with how each of my staff interprets the concept. The patterners are in fact designing. We don't apply the usual patterning routine to our conceptual making process. It is just cumbersome."

If this idea does apply into intimate apparel design and pattern making, life will be much more easy. Right?
