My Mom will have a brain surgery tomorrow morning. Although this one will be a simpler than the last one, my dad is worried... so am I. If there is no surprise, my mom will be discharged by Wednesday.
Again, I will be hanging out with my friends tonight to escape from the stress.
"The most terrifying day of your life is the day your first one is born. Life, as you know it, is gone. Never to return. But they learn to walk, to talk, and they grow up to become the most delightful people you will ever meet."
My grandparents used to have a ice house in Wang Tau Hom when I was a little kid. My cousins and I played many group games in the house during the off peak hour. I watched my dad making bread and took a nap on the branch.
One time, I swallowed a lemon seed after taking a big sip of lemon water. I asked my aunt that whether a lemon tree would grow on top of my head. Surely, she said "Yes."
Anyway, when will I get the real deal as above, friends? Thanks to Facebook!
Words & music by Ruth Batchelor & Bob Roberts Sandman’s comin’, yes he’s comin’ To sprinkle you with sand He’ll say “one, two, three” And you’ll be, In cotton candy land
Sandman’s comin’, yes he’s comin’ He’ll take you, by the hand And you’ll ride upon, a big white swan In cotton candy land
You and the swan will float upon A cloud of pink ice cream Where every star is a candy bar And the moon is a marshmallow dream
Sandman’s comin’, yes he’s comin’ Take his magic hand Now goodnight...now sleep tight In cotton candy land
In cotton candy land...
A few people who have looked for music, lyrics or photos of Elvis Presley's Cotton Candy Land Song through the search engine. Well, they did not find any here, but my personal blog. They might wonder why I would like to name my blog as "Cotton Candyland".
Well, it traced back to 1980 something... when I was a kid, my mom used to sell Cotton Candy at the game zone in the Lok Fu Shopping Mall. She always gave my sister and me a free cone. It was so soft and tasty!
Meanwhile, Cotton Candy did remind many people's childhood memories and it sounded kinda cool. Maybe they could find the connection in between. So, why not!
I am very glad to have you all in my life. You have blessed and encouraged so much this year. Thank you very much for celebrating the birthday with me this week.
Love,
Candy
PS. Millions thanks to people who gave sweet birthday treat to me. They are my parents, Ernesto, Wab Wab, Tak Lok and Mandy.
My dad is planning to cancel the telephone line at home tomorrow in order to cut our household operation cost. However, some of our friends might not be able to contact us if their phone books are not updated. Isn't it fair to both our friends and family who have lost touch with us for a while. When there is a chance, they think of us and pick up the phone to call us... it is priceless.
