He talks

Having a late class in the yoga stuio is not a bad thing. The class size is much small and student have a chance to ask any question.

So... I had a great talk with my yoga teacher last night. Sweet!

Dance

My family was not wealthy to support my sister and I to have extra-curriculums in our childhood. I was jealous my peers who had classes like piano, violin, ballet, Girl Scout, Cello... My sister and I used to play many games by our imaginations. Running race in the playground, playing badminton in the sitting room, paper-scissor-rock, the Wind Bow... Sometimes we just followed the dancer's move in TV and started to dance. (Could you think how funny we were?)

Now, I can do it all after joining mYoga which offers BASIC JAZZ, JAZZ / FUNK, HIP HOP BASIC, BASIC LATINO DANCE, BASIC BELLY DANCE, BALLET BASICS... Although my body is no longer as flexible as before, the instructors have encouraged me so much and I dare to try. Anyway, I have thanked Joey, my club salesman tonight for his presentation and making sure that I did not miss out.

Classes from Dr. Yogi Ram

Yoga Thearathy, Hatha, Breathing & Relaxation were tought by Dr. Yogi Ram these couple days. His classes were fun and easy to learn. Surely, I will take his class again.

On the other hand, I met a new friend- Ada Hui too. Her walk of life was very different than mine and we had a great chat in the sauna room.

Thank you very much for your honest sharing, Ada!

New Friends from Myoga

One benefit of joining a new brand new yoga studio is to meet new friend. Since we are still in the exploration stage, most of us just join the class and bold together without particular preference.

Shu Yee, Annie and I have taken the Flora's Dance class a few times. We always share class tips and chat about the gym facilities in the Sauna room. They are very Cool ladies and I enjoy their companies.

First Pilates Class

PILATES is very new to me. Louisa, the friendly Pilates Instructor introduced the basic Pilates and explain the application the use of the roller to the class today. Since the breathing was different than yoga, getting used to breathe naturally was the first priority.

Then, we did a few balance poses which could strengthen the lower bodies and tone our overall bodies in shape. Although most of the movements were very slow, I did sweat a lot when I held the positions.

In my humble opinion, Pilates is very good sport for everybody. I shall continue to learn Pilates and get the result soon.

World Cup 2006

My dad has put up the Game Schedule on the back of the door and has sat up the whole month Game recording on his antique VCR. Watching Football Game is his favorite hobby.

Personally, Football is fine for me as long as football players are handsome.

Is that a sin?

Dancing Queen

Taking the Dance Class of Jazz/ Funk last night, it was unbelievable fun! Flora's dance move was brilliant and I wished that I could learn at least 20% of hers. Anyway, I am more comfortable dancing with beginners in the smaller group now. Thanks to Myoga has been just open for a few days.

On the other hand, there are 6 classes left in Physical Fitness now. I will reserve those classes for Yoga in July because I will be able to compare my progress and improvement in Myoga.

Bright Start at Monday Morning

Waking up extra early today for my very first Hot Yoga Class, I felt so excited and nervous. Ray, the instructor of mY HOT I (Y2) adjusted the temperature to 30'C for the beginners like me. He planned to increase it gradually day by day until it reaches 38"C in two weeks.

Moreover, I have met Carrie, a new friend from the studio. She works in Mongkok. Now, I feel Cool and have a bright start for this week. Let's ROCK!

Have a good yoga work out!

Ashtanga Clinic (2) by Eva & Hatha (1) by Dileep... do they sound familiar to you?
Well, I had two nice yoga classes tonight. Although most of us were beginners and took time to improve, Eva and Dileep demonstrated the examples clearly and corrected our poses with care. Thank you!

On the other hand, I have found that I am making progress after taking this sport seriously for three months. Giving my best in class, having classes at least three times a week, pushing myself to the limit in the stretching and asking intelligent questions to instructors were part of my strategies.

Definitely, there are many friendly and helpful yoga instructors in Physical Fitness now. If its hardware such as cleanness of yoga matt, indoor temperature, lighting, queuing system have been upgraded, I might join their member next year.

Lastly, I do miss Susana's coaching style and the drills. She has encouraged us with a few words as below.

1) 量力而為- act according to one's ability

2) 不和別人比較- Do not compare yourself with other people

3) Take your time.
