Workshop Outline:

Session One: The Meaning and Purpose of Yoga. During this session, the five-fold division of yoga will be expounded and the concept of vedanta will be explained

Session Two: Karma Yoga. How can ordinary actions in our daily life be transmuted into a yogic (cosmic) one? This session will explain how each and every action of ours can be transformed into a cosmic one, thus making our personality a wholesome one.

Session Three: Bhakti Yoga. This session will touch on how various devotional practices that are prevalent today can lead to purification of heart and mind.

Session Four: Raja Yoga. This session will focus on the well-known eight-fold path of the great yogic master Patanjali, who authored the Yogasutra in the 3rd C BC. The eight-fold path culminates in the technique of meditation which is critical for concentration and for the pursuit of happiness.

Sessions Five & Six: Posture and Breathing Techniques (Asanas and Pranayama ). These two sessions will focus entirely on the practical skills for developing perfect health and harmony, though preceded by philosophical underpinnings.

I enjoy the workshop very much. The theory and ansana practice are great. I am grateful to meet a few great teachers from the yoga community. Mr. K.P. Daswani is a wise gentleman and shares useful wisdom with us as a group of young hardworking individual in Hong Kong. Ms. Kavita Khosa is cool and asks us to try something different in life- "Headstand". Her class is very fun! Mr. Hari Cheng teaches us how to rest and relax properly. I almost felt a sleep in the dead man pose during hist class.

On the other hand, I have met many yoga friends who have taken classes from Mr. Alex Medin. It was my first time to meet him in my life. He is very humble and helpful. I love to practice with him.

I hope that there is more yoga workshop like this... more wisdom, less commercial!
