Another Dream about my Mr. Right...

Hello! Mr. Right… where is you? Are you hiding from me at this moment? Will you show up in my life soon? I really want to know you now. Can I wait a bit longer before I getting into another silly guy? Maybe...

Anyway, I dreamed about my Mr. Right last night... That's crazy!

"I have learnt my lesson well
The truth is out there I can tell
Don't look back and don't succumb
To their lies and goodbyes
Live your life without regret
Don't be someone who they forget
When you're lost reach out for me (aah)
And you'll see she's not far
Northern Star
Northern Star, aahAah, aah"

Northern Star... I am looking for you.

103 Bus Route

Waking up extra early this morning, I was ready to ride 103 bus to get to the gym in Causeway Bay. The bus route was smooth and fast which I enjoyed checking out the current view of Hong Kong on the upper deck.

Obviously, skyline has been changed so much since the removal of the old airport; loads of new flashy tall buildings have pop up in the Kowloon areas which block away a few parts of Hong Kong Island View. Personally, I don't really like it. I think those owners of buildings were greedy because they just want to have the Best view without the concerns of the overall pictures of Hong Kong.

Anyway, it only took me 25 minutes from the bus stop next door to my destination. If my schedule is not tight, Bus 103 is a great choice.

Volleyball Practice

The volleyball practice was so fun and my teammates told me that my skill has been improved. Thanks to Gym! Otherwise, my arms won't be getting strong day by day. I enjoyed the practice so much more this time because I have not played for a while. Also, the relationships among the teammates were closer.

Shall we win in the next game?

Should I get a second job?

It is an interesting question. Since I am not studying in school and seem to have plenty of free time, should I get a second job for extra cash? Here is the analysis.

Pros:

- Branching out.

It is a good chance for me to be exposed in various type of industry as a part-time worker and gain more working experience.

- Making more friends.

I want to meet new people and expand the social circle.

- Extra cash.

Although it is just a part-time job which might provide me HK$25- 40 per hour, a buck is a buck. Why don’t I keep saving for the emergency?

- Goodies from work.

Like me, I want to work for Starbuck so that I could learn how to make coffee for free. Or if I work in my favorite boutique, I could shop with discount.

Cons:

- Spend less time with my family.

Honestly, I do not spend enough time with my parents and only have dinner with them a few times a week. If possible, we should watch movies, go to concerts, travel & hang out more often.

- Time conflict with my current job.

As a Marketing Executive in a Printing & Design Firm, I have to be on call 24/7. What if my day job has a emergency situation which needs me to resolve during the second job working hour? Should I stay or leave to resolve the problem immediately?

- Lower my day job productivity.

If my second job is a labor intensive type of job nature, my body might not be able to recover over night.

…… Well, I should find the part time job first. Then I can decide “to be or not to be” in this change.

Trip Planning- India 2005

Map_of_indiaFinally, I get a chance to communicate with Dhiraj about the trip this coming October. It is unbelievable that I am going to India and seeing my friend in two months.

Remember last time I chatted with Dhiraj in the Seattle in May. We did discuss the possibility that we would meet in person very soon, but did not know the time.

Maybe it was a plan that I was not meant to be attending the Poly U so that I could make this one time life experience. Thank God!

Now, I am studying the materials that I have received from the tour agent of MorningStar, Sun Flower, Wing On Travel & Hong Thai. Hopefully I will get The Best Deal since the trip will be off peak.

A Group of Great Clients

Three more months, I will be working for Hang Sing Printing & Design CO., Ltd. almost a year. So far so good! Although most of my clients are very nice to me, some don't unfortunately.

Like today, one of my clients shared their home made lunch with me in the office which made me feel special and welcome. It was not about how much the worth of the transaction or the size of the printing projects, but it gave me recognition.

As a beginner in the printing & design industrial, there are loads of technique information and people skills to learn. I am ready for the challenge!

Dinner with Handsome On

The food was tasty and we ate a load of fishes. On and I had dinner in Skewer Skewer in Knutsford Step, TST tonight. We shared a lot regarding work, life, friends, family and spiritual stuff... I asked him how it's like in the marriage and how to deal with the second half. The answers were very different than what I thought as a single lady.

NikeWell, we were so full and had a great time tonight. Walking toward the Park Lane, I bought a new pair of NIKE shoes which costed me HK$817.00 with a new pair of Nike Sock. They look great on my feet and I feel so comfy in them. Is it a good deal?

Met A Hot Personal Trainer Tonight...

It was Unbelievable that I had a One on One Orientation with a Hot Personal Trainer in the Gym tonight. Originally there was another person in the class. Glad! He/ She did not show up.

Most of the time I tried to focus on what he said, but his muscle really distracted me during the season. Should I hire him? Isn't it fun to meet him once a week? Hahhaha... Just kidding... Well, I did learn something new. Hopefully, I will meet him once in a while there.

** Thanks! Kam. You did a really good job on teaching and showing me how to use the machine correctly.

Chris Grand = Wes Bentley ??

Watching the movie of American Beauty at home by myself last night, it was an absolutely impressive one.

The story line was dramatics and told the truth about human nature in the material world. I can see the same thing happening in Asia. People are searching for the best and perfect idealistic way to live, which is closed to American Dream.

Also, Wes Bentley, an actor looks like Chris Grand, my handsome Seattle friend. Let's check them out as below!

Dream, dream, dream...

It was not my first time to dream about my future husband. We were checking out the new condo near the sea and planning to buy a home. The condo was similar to the Discovery Bay type. There was a clubhouse, a swimming pool, a beach and a park... Perfect!

The last time I dreamed about was in the supermarket. He wore a dark T-shirt and I was pregnant. I was feeding him an ice cream bar.

Kick Boxing

Fun! I took my first Kick Boxing from Simon, the instructor in E house Physical Fitness last night. The experience was fantastic and I sweated a lot. The kicks, punches and moves were not too difficult which I could follow. Simon was a cool instructor and brought up the morale in the class. Maybe you should check him out.

Well, I still could not finish a set of push up due to my weak arms. I will work on them later.

Also, I have arranged my first gym orientation on Monday. Hopefully, the instructor will be friendly and helpful.

Lack of Inspiration

I do not have any idea what to write today...

On the first draft, I have written about my work and current project. However, it might not be a fair idea to share my client's business. Then, I erased and wrote about why I did not go to the gym yesterday... it was not a fun topic and nobody wanted to read all that.

Anyway, here I am... writing silly thoughts. Hopefully, I will have a better topic to share with you tomorrow. See you later!

SEPA

Student Exchange Program Alumina "SEPA" is a group of Former Hong Kong Exchange Students who have completed one year cultural exchange program.

At this point, six of committees are preparing activity, newsletter and alumina listings for 2006. Hopefully, more people will join us and enjoy working on this cool project. We are expecting 1,000 students to become SEPA members.

Personally, I had a great time in Lake City, MI during the Exchange year 1999-2000. My English became fluent and made a few friends. The host family was very friendly to me and I learned so much about American Cultural. Of course, I did experience cultural shock too which helped me to grow to be a mature adult.

A Great Fine Evening

Ng Ning Ning did have a dinner in Kamado Japanese Restaurant at No. 1 Peking Road- TST last night. The view of Victoria Harbour was impressive and the food was delicious! We have not met each other for at least 7 years. Time flies... Most of her is still the same, but she definitely is prettier. We talked a lot about studies, parties, works, travel and girl things. Also, we did a little bit planning for next dinner with Noel and Vicky.

On the other hand, we went shopping in Langham Place- MK. It was so surprising that we met Choi Jon Yin, Vicky in her MAC cosmetics counter. I recognized her and checked up nametag in case I mixed up with somebody else. Vicky Choi looks no different than the school day except putting beautiful green eye shadows. Glad! She could figure out who we were.

Lastly, we had Chinese desserts and drink in Ming Ya Fe on Level 13. I picked a friendship song "友共情" from Koo Kui Kei, Leo to Ning Ning.

* Thanks to the credit card receipts! Otherwise, I will keep forgetting the name and location of restaurants.

Ng Ning Ning

Wowa... I am planning to meet Ng Ning Ning, one of my KTL classmates who moved to Vancouver BC in 1995. We have not met in person for many years and have been busy for our studies and work. I hope she still recognizes me. She is looking for job in Hong Kong and having the adjustment now.

During the Second Year of the middle school, we were in the track team and in the same class. She was pretty good at it and close to Gillian. Also, I remember that one sunny hot day we took those girly pictures in Kowloon Park with Simi, Cibo, Gillian, Judy and Joanne ... That was so fun! I still have the pictures with me. Maybe I should show her later.

India... I am coming

Last night Dhiraj, one of my Indian friends who I met in Seattle, told me that he planned to visit his home country from October to November for one month.

Personally, I am so excited because if I change my trip slightly earlier to that time, maybe I will have a chance to meet him in person and to see how the local people live like.

Anyway, I definitely will check with him again for the confirmation, as he is a busybody. If you have traveled in Bombay, New Delhi and Calcutta, could you mind sharing your tips with me?

Sweet Sweet Morning

I woke up at 5: 45am with a clear mind today. It was surprisingly early and I did managed to arrive the E-House Gym before 7:00am.

- 15 minutes Cardio Jogging has brought me to have a 157 Heart Rate.

- 4 sets of 10-time sit-up

- 3 sets of 10-time arm lifting

- 10 minutes sauna

- A refreshing shower...

My spirit is up and ready to start the new week!

To Carol*

Sorry! I have brought you down this couple weeks because of my selfishness.

Please forgive me.

Even though I win this time and stand firm on my point of view, it does not mean anything.

Shall we move on and fix?

... ...

My Email

I used to write loads of email to friends about my updates. As my blog has been launching successfully couple months ago, my friends visit here on and off and get to know me more.

Sometimes, I really want to know the names and total numbers of people who check my blog everyday. Although those figures are not important, at least I know if my sharing is boring or not. At this point, I can still write whatever I like without under anybody’s influence.

On the other hand, I chatted with Peggy Kwok this morning. She told me there were bad things happening in her life.

1) Nan, one of our AIS instructors passed away due to lung cancer (Smoking related).

2) Family’s chaos... not sure I should share here.

3) Her car blew up in the middle of I-5 Highway in Seattle, WA. No more driving!

...

Well, she is hanging there and focusing on her studies. Anyway, I miss her and her boyfriend sometime. They are surely a sweet couple.

Tony Jaa's movie

Tygposter11TOM-YUM-GOONG... maybe you think of the Thai Food first. Eva K Leung, Sam ( Her Potential One) and I watched the Movie in Shatin UA last night. The movie name sounds attractive, but the food has nothing related to the movie. It was just a name of the restaurant that cooks loads of Endanger Animals.

It is the story of a young man named Kham (Tony Jaa) whose life is turned upside down when an international mafia syndicate, based in Australia and captures his two beloved elephants and smuggles them thousands of kilometers away to Sydney. Kham has no choice but to risk his own life for the animals he loves…

The Artwork and shooting skill are Thai Style. The message is simple and the storyline is not too complicated. You could see lifestyle of the Thailand Countryside and the Asian Immigrants in Western Country. I can feel the culture of Chinatown.

Overall, I give an A- to the movie and recommend you to check out the movie. It is a fun one!

HKCEE... Sucks?

Have you taken the HKCEE before?

Were you a hard working one or a layback one?

What did you do during the self-studies time?

To me, I don't like HKCEE. Not only because I screwed up in the Exam and did not have fun throughout the process. I was not interested in most of the subjects. However, there were tons of Hong Kong people felt regret that they did not have good scores in HKCEE and could not get over the shadows.

Is HKCEE a really big deal to people's life? Does it really relate to somebody's job performance? Does it a measure guide to determine somebody's destiny?

I don't think so!

For those who hit the high score, Congratulation! You deserve it. You know the game.

For those who don't, don't worry! There are many wonderful things waiting for you to discover and try. Never settle for less and work you ass off! You will arrive soon. Also, you are accepted and still being loved by your family and friends.

Just another breakthrough!

Yeah! It is another one! I have gone to the gym in Causeway bay and taken a yoga class this morning. I feel great and encouraged. The yoga class was slightly advanced and I was obviously a beginner. There was only one guy in the class and most of people worked nearby.

So far, I like the gym and its facilities. No complaint yet!

Anyway, I will keep going and hopefully my body will be in shape soon.

My First Day in the Gym

Can't believe that I woke up at 5:45am and arrived in the TST Sheraton gym at 6:55am this morning. The gym was not crowded and I could take my time to finish my exercise.

- Cardio for 15 minutes
- Warm up for 15 minutes
- Sauna for 10 minutes
- Clean up & Make up for 15 minutes

Although it was only an hour and I had to rush to work, I felt so refresh and gave myself a nice breakfast with Lemon Tea. Hopefully, I will keep going and have a better arrangement on transportation.

Physcial Fitness

Miss Lo Yuk Fun is going to transfer her Physical Fitness Membership to me from August 23, 2005 to July 23, 2006 with a fair deal. I am so excited to go to the gym again. Last time I went to 24 hours fitness lazily was in Seattle 2003. Lack of motivation was the main failure point. I guess this time will be better because most of the Hong Kong people are crazy for having a slim body and the peer pressure. Anyway, if you have the same membership as I do, shall we go together sometimes?

I am not accepted

Little bit sad... I was planning to study Part time in Poly U this fall. Unfortunately, my application is unsuccessful which means I am not qualitfied. I shall re-apply earlier and collect more information about the school in the nearly future.

Also, it's okay! I will save up money to travel this year. My next destineation will be India. If you have any news about India, please share with me. I might visit India in the winter or spring time.

Thanks for your concern on my admission!

No need to buy Newspaper...

Walking from home to the Lok Fu MTR station during the weekday, I am thrilled to collect three free newspapers- AM 730, Metro Hong Kong and Headline Daily. Each of them has different style, political view and target market. Personally, I enjoy reading AM 730 more because it has coverage on the Stock Market and Real Estate. Metro Hong Kong is a fact base and Headline Daily is a gossip kind.

Therefore, I have told my mom to stop buying newspaper, but to look for interesting books and magazines. There are too many newspapers at my home. It needs to clean up!

PE

Volleyball practice was boring today. We just kept repeating the same routine and had a game. I did not enjoy as much as the past. Before getting home from the court, I had a train of thoughts:

1) I should get myself to go to the gym, swimming pool or park as soon as possible. Otherwise, my body will become weaker.

2) Just receive the paycheck today. What should I buy? New wallet, sneaker or more make up... or the other way, what can I give back to the community? Donation to the local community center or NGO...

3) Eat healthy... I am so glad to quit going to McDonald's and drinking coke. Is it time for me to take a few cooking classes?

4) Still worry about the application of Poly U.

Anyway, it is time for bed. Talk with you some more tomorrow. Good Night!

Pinky Mok... Chen

Dsc00098_1Who is She?

A) My Classmate   B) My Sister   C) My Coworker   D) Other

Well, B is the correct answer. You might have wondered how my sister looks like... maybe it is a suitable time to introduce her since she is no longer living with me and can't reject my view of her now.

Pinky, she is my lovely sister who is two years younger than I. We don't look alike at all. She is a milky and I am a dark choco. Her eyes are small and mine are big. Shopping, sleeping and chatting on the phone are her hobbies. As the same time, outgoing, hardworking and talkative are her highlights. Most of people adore her.

At this point of her life, she has become Mrs. Pinky Mok-Chen and lives in Algona, Iowa for little more than a year. She is busy on managing her restaurant and training her staff. I look forward to spending more time to see her soon.

Sorry! I am getting so sick again. My body is aching and I am feeling tired. However, there are a few overseas printing projects and local quotations I need to get done this week. Pray for my healing as you wish. Many thanks!
