Key dates in the history of Brassieres
1863 -- Jersey boy Luman L. Chapman patents a corset substitute called "the breast supporter."
1893 -- Marie Tucek patents a more modern bra with pouches for each breast, shoulder straps, and hook and eye fasteners.
1907 -- The term "brassiere" appears for the first time in an American copy of Vogue.
1914 -- New York socialite Mary Phelps Jacob patents a backless bra for evening gowns. She sells her patent to Warner Brothers Corset Co for $1,500.
1920s -- A Russian immigrant and seamstress named Ida Rosenthal, working for dressmaker Enid Bissett, alters a popular bandeau style bra and founds Maidenform. Rosenthal and her husband, William, create cup size categories. The Rosenthals open a Maidenform plant in New Jersey in 1925 and sell 500,000 bras in 1928.
1930s -- Warner Brothers Corset Co. creates the alphabet cup sizing method used today (A-D), as well as the all-elastic bra.
1943 -- Howard Hughes designs a aeronautically inspired steel underwire bra and turns Jane Russell into a huge star in "The Outlaw".
1946 -- Frederick Moliger invents the first push-up bra, called the Rising Sun. In 1947, Moliger opens a lingerie shop on Hollywood Boulevard -- Frederick's of Hollywood.
1968 -- This moment in bra history is significant for what did NOT happen. The fact that feminists burned their bras at a demonstration against the Miss America Pageant in Atlantic City is strictly urban legend.
1978 -- Playtex launches an ads for its "Support Can Be Beautiful" underwire bras.
1990 -- Madonna wears the pointy Jean Paul Gaultier cone bra in her Blonde Ambition Tour and creates one of the more lasting images in bra history.
1995 -- On "Seinfeld," Kramer and Frank Costanza, George's dad, invent the "bro" or "manssiere" -- a support undergarment for men.
1999 -- At the Women's World Cup in Pasadena, Calif., after scoring the fifth penalty kick to give the U.S. team the win over China in the finals, Brandi Chastain celebrates by peeling off her jersey and falling to her knees in a sports bra. The image makes the covers of Time, Newsweek and Sports Illustrated.
2004 -- Janet Jackson suffers a "wardrobe malfunction" during a Super Bowl halftime performance, and accidentally reveals a nipple shield under her bustier instead of a lacy red bra. The world almost comes to an end.
2005 -- With 85 percent of American women wearing the wrong bra size, Oprah Winfrey begins a "Bra Revolution" to get women in the right undergarments. Nordstrom reports that bra sales at its stores increased 189 percent.

What will I do in 2046?
Will I still alive by that time?
Who will I be with?
Where will I live?
Will I bring my grandkid(s) to read book in library?
By that time, I should be able to retired happily?

精神愉快;
Thanks for the kindly reminder, Wab Wab!

Test from http://www.mtsu.edu/~studskl/hd/hemispheric_dominance.html
You responded as a right brained person to 14 questions, and you responded as a left brained person to 5 questions. According to the Hemispheric Dominance test, you use your right brain the most. The summary briefly describes your dominance type. Remember, this only represents half of the picture. After you read the description, click on the link at the bottom of the page to find out how to use this information to improve your study strategies. Do not forget to print your results, if your instructor has requested you to do so.
Some of the traits associated with the right side of the brain are listed in the table. Not all of the traits will apply to you. Remember, we use both side of our brain, but your right sides gets the most exercise.
Type of Cognitive Processing & Brief Description
- Holistic
Processing information from whole to part; sees the big picture first, not the details.
- Random
Processing information with out priority, jumps form one task to another.
- Concrete
Processes things that can be seen , or touched - real objects.
- Intuitive
Processes information based on whether or not it feels right know answer but not sure how it was derived.
- Nonverbal
Processes thought as illustrations.
- Fantasy-Oriented
Processes information with creativity; less focuses on rules and regulations

Great scriptures from Carol & Alvin's wedding
Song of Solomon 2 : 1 - 3 Half
Beloved
1 I am a rose of Sharon,
a lily of the valleys.
Lover
2 Like a lily among thorns
is my darling among the maidens.
Beloved
3 Like an apple tree among the trees of the forest
is my lover among the young men.
Song of Solomon 8 : 6 - 7
6 Place me like a seal over your heart,
like a seal on your arm;
for love is as strong as death,
its jealousy unyielding as the grave.
It burns like blazing fire,
like a mighty flame.
7 Many waters cannot quench love;
rivers cannot wash it away.
If one were to give
all the wealth of his house for love,
it would be utterly scorned.

風還該是溫軟;
荷葉還沒有殘敗;
小劃子停在水流中間;
耳朵旁溫甜;
那同聽過的鳥啼;
不獻出你積累的馨芳;
交出受過光熱的每一層顏色;
切不用哭泣;或是呼喚;
更用不著閉上眼祈禱;
(向著將來的將來空等盼);

Still breathing
Recently, I felt like walking as a dead women. I was angry and depressed with unfair treatments and disappointments in Hong Kong.
Until today, my friends and I went hiking and played on the beautiful beach under the pure blue sky. My sorrow was relieve.
Life should be simple... it is the matter of yes or no, letting go or not!
Thank you very much for the new friendship : )

FIT, FINE AND PREGNANT
Anuradha Mascarenhas
Posted online: Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at 0000 hrs IST
For 28-year-old Rikke Agner keeping fit, fine and pregnant is really not very difficult. A university level handball player in Denmark, Rikke moved base when her husband joined an MNC in Pune. During her 38th week of pregnancy, Rikke’s body has undergone several changes, but not for a minute has she remained idle. “In fact I hope the delivery will be easier as I have tried to keep fit during my first pregnancy,” smiles Rikke as she exercises at the Symbiosis Centre of Health Care.
Supriya Bose— a fitness consultant with the Symbiosis Centre of Health Care (SCHC) and certified fitness professional from the American Fitness Association, has supervised Rikke’s fitness level during her pregnancy and is rather impressed with her dedication to exercise. “A pregnant woman’s body changes like never before. She is faced with innumerable and new sensations, feelings and emotions, all of them not exactly wonderful. Her reflection in the mirror at times leaves a lot to be desired! At the back of her mind, somewhere lurks the ominous question, ‘Will I ever be desirable again?’ “ says Bose
Bose insists that mothers need not worry. They can get back their firm taut figure “Your breasts don’t need to sag although you have breast-fed. Your once flat tummy doesn’t have to look like a recently unloaded sack of potatoes,” she says.
More importantly, you can and should exercise WHILE you are pregnant, Bose insists. This will tone your muscles, keep you flexible, help circulation, regulate bowels, reduce swelling in your hands and feet, deal with a stiff back and help make you feel cheerful on those not-so-cheerful days. Keeping fit while pregnant will also help you to have an easier delivery.
How do you achieve this? “Firstly, find the correct instructor or antenatal class. Your gynecologist can help here. You can start an exercise programme from your fourth month onwards, until the end, but always with the sanction of the attending doctor,” says Bose.
What is safe for me? Avoid all impact sports or exercises - no jumping, running, skipping and impact aerobics. Basically, anything that causes your body to be shaken up could lead to unpleasant outcomes. Your exercise routine should start with a slow and controlled warm up, no jerky movements. This can lead to a cardio phase, where you either walk or do simple floor moves that elevate your heart rate and give some variation. Utmost care should be taken not to overload your heart and lungs. In addition, your temperature should be kept as close to normal as possible - no over heating, over sweating. Sip water all through out.
Floor exercises should be comfortable and provide strengthening to all major muscle groups, especially your back, legs and arms. You should end your workout with good, long stretches and relaxation. Breathing correctly is vital to any workout but more so here, as your body weight is increased and you could tire easily.
Clothing should allow you to move freely and without restraint, absorbing sweat and cutting down on abrasion. A good, firm sports bra is advised so that your breasts are well supported.

No worry today, ok?
“Worry a little bit every day and in a lifetime you will lose a couple of years. If something is wrong, fix it if you can. But train yourself not to worry. Worry never fixes anything.”
- Mary (Mrs. Ernest) Hemingway
Dear Candy:
Worrying can have harmful effects on our lives. There really is no solution when you worry, it only creates more problems for yourself in the long run. Consider these four techniques on analyzing the situation at hand in order to minimize worry.
- Get all the facts
- Weigh all the facts - then come to a decision
- Once a decision is reached, act!
- Analyze the problem:
1) What is the problem?
2) What are the causes of the problem?
3) What are the possible solutions?
4) What is the best solution?

Three silly girls
1) They jumped into the relationship within two weeks. He was a busybody who got no time to spend with his new girlfriend. She was wondering at home all day and waiting for his phone call. She started thinking he might have another women...
2) Their relationship was about a year, but was not stable. She started seeing another guy. He was very worried and tried the best to make her to love him. She got pregnant that forced them to get married. She felt guilty for what she had done to him...
3) A crazy journey brought her back to him at his home. He was a caring man who loved to cook and sing. She never thought to be love with him again, but she did. Could she work hard and wait for another 8 months until they meet again? Would he change?

Great Expectations (1998)
Finn: I did it! I did it! I am a wild success! I sold 'em all, all my paintings. You don't have to be embarrassed by me anymore, I'm rich! Isn't that what you wanted, aren't we happy now. Don't you understand, that everything I do, I do it for you. Anything, that might be special in me, is you.

Will you love somebody no matter what?

Meet Joe Black
I am not talking about the movie, but a person whom I met in 1998. After reading the newspaper about the 6 carats pink diamond ring from Lust, Caution- the movie earlier, I would like to check it out from Cartier Store in The mall.
The name of the mall is Elements, a brand new one, has many luxury brands including Gucci, Chanel and other famous... I was amazed with the interior design and the artistic decorations. It's Hugh!
Before approaching Cartier store, a gentleman with a ear headset and a leather folder near was hanging around by the escalator. His eyes were shape and bright. The eyelashes were little bit longer than normal Chinese.
"Hi!" His voice was very soft and I could recall his tone.
"Are you Joe?"
"Yes. I am." Is him... Joe. A guy whom I took the same study trip in Eastbourne nine years ago.
"Sorry, I look really crappy today as a student." I was not sick and did not put on any make up.
. . .
Joe is working for the Mall as an ambassador and still keeps in touch with Ruby now.
Because of the ring, I met Joe again...
I hope, because of my endeavours, I will see the person I love again.
Thank you, Ring!

Aussies bounce Brits' figuring on breasts
Solveig Faul | September 21, 2007
BOLD new claims from Britain hailing the tracking of a figure-eight movement in breasts as revolutionary, have been disputed by Australian brassiere engineers who say they have known of the pattern for years.
Researchers from the University of Wollongong say they first put women on treadmills to track their breasts' movement 10 years ago and have since worked on ways to reduce the bounce.
Last week, British scientist Joanna Scurr said research based on her study, which also looked at the figure-eight movement of breasts, aimed to integrate the "new" knowledge into bras.
But Julie Steele from the Applied Biomechanics Lab at the University of Wollongong, who has worked with the Australian Institute of Sport and bra manufacturer Berlei, said the British claims were sensationalised and showed ignorance.
Berlei has helped research both horizontal and vertical breast movement for years and its bra designs were aimed at handling the resulting bounce.
She said there was little information available in the public domain on breast movement due to commercial reasons, which may have led to the false claims.
Professor Steele said Dr Scurr had yet to publish her results.
The future of bra science lies in the development of intelligent fabrics. Present technology has produced fabric that moves moisture away from the body and can use ultrasonic sound waves to add support without bulky stitching and seams.
According to Professor Steele, new intelligent fabrics will tense up when a woman starts running in an everyday situation, for example for the bus, and reduce the breasts' bounce.
Education is another major issue in the world of bra science. Berlei found in its studies 66per cent of women were wearing the wrong bra. Julie Malandin, director of the Berlei Group, said incorrect fitting could lead to neck and back pain. In extreme cases, women could experience broken collarbones, numb hands, chafing and bleeding.
Fitting specialist Helen Aubrey, who has been helping women find the right bra since 1968, said: "The wrong bra is theproblem."
In her extensive experience working for David Jones, Myer, Sara Lee and Berlei, the fitter has found that women often do not realise their bodies change as they get older, have children and change their diets.
Her advice to women: "Try before you buy."

All About Tea
You might have noticed that there was a new link- www.allabouttea.co.uk added into my list on the left after the study trip. It was because Mr. Andrew Gadsden, the Teaologist in Southsea has made some great tea for me during my stay in South of England.
Also, he showed his tea collections, shared how he started the website, his tea research and passion for this godly treat. He took me to tea shopping in the local market. It was a fascinating experience!
After the trip, I began to search for good Chinese tea and learn more about tea at the Flagstaff House Museum of Tea Ware and the K.S. Lo Gallery in Hong Kong. I started drinking more tea than coffee.
... I believe that we deserve a tea time everyday with friends and family. No matter how short it is, we should take a break to appreciate life with a cup of healthy tea.

To my friends all over the world,
Let's enjoy the moon!
Cheers,
Candy
Where are you, Gregg?
This was an American Chinese guy I met in the Hilton Chambers, Manchester at August 19, 2007.
We talked a little and hung out for a bit.
After all, we knew we won't each other again... let me wrote down how he looked like before forgetting.
He was born 1986, 170 lbs, 5 ft 8", originally from Shanghai. He moved to US when he was little. He was with two American classmates.
That's all I could remember...
People pass by quickly, treasure the time when we are with them.
