Summer Time... Summer Love

Sonnet 18: Shall I compare thee to a Summer's day?

Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?
Thou art more lovely and more temperate:
Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May,
And summer's lease hath all too short a date:
Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines,
And often is his gold complexion dimm'd;
And every fair from fair sometime declines,
By chance or nature's changing course untrimm'd;
But thy eternal summer shall not fade
Nor lose possession of that fair thou owest;
Nor shall Death brag thou wander'st in his shade,
When in eternal lines to time thou growest:
So long as men can breathe or eyes can see,
So long lives this and this gives life to thee.

Done... no more chasing!

I have finished a major task in Hang Sing Printing & Design. It has taken me so much time and effort due to my inexperience. Although the sensitive business details could not be shared here, the mission is completed at the end and I have an instant relieve.

Thank you very much for your time, patience, guidance, & encouragement, Mr. J Lee!

He talks

Having a late class in the yoga stuio is not a bad thing. The class size is much small and student have a chance to ask any question.

So... I had a great talk with my yoga teacher last night. Sweet!

Many People Here

I could not believe the number of people who have checked this blog out these couple days. It has been increased 50%. Fred, one of my printing clients has told me that he enjoyed reading my blog and knew what's going on in other part of Hong Kong.

Anyway, thank you very much for friends who come here on and off. Let's stay COOL!

Dance

My family was not wealthy to support my sister and I to have extra-curriculums in our childhood. I was jealous my peers who had classes like piano, violin, ballet, Girl Scout, Cello... My sister and I used to play many games by our imaginations. Running race in the playground, playing badminton in the sitting room, paper-scissor-rock, the Wind Bow... Sometimes we just followed the dancer's move in TV and started to dance. (Could you think how funny we were?)

Now, I can do it all after joining mYoga which offers BASIC JAZZ, JAZZ / FUNK, HIP HOP BASIC, BASIC LATINO DANCE, BASIC BELLY DANCE, BALLET BASICS... Although my body is no longer as flexible as before, the instructors have encouraged me so much and I dare to try. Anyway, I have thanked Joey, my club salesman tonight for his presentation and making sure that I did not miss out.

Classes from Dr. Yogi Ram

Yoga Thearathy, Hatha, Breathing & Relaxation were tought by Dr. Yogi Ram these couple days. His classes were fun and easy to learn. Surely, I will take his class again.

On the other hand, I met a new friend- Ada Hui too. Her walk of life was very different than mine and we had a great chat in the sauna room.

Thank you very much for your honest sharing, Ada!

Learning Cangjie 倉頡輸入法

It is time to upgrade my I.T. sense. After struggling on the Chinese typing for many years, I have committed myself tonight to learn the Cangjie, one of the Chinese Computer Input Method.

May God give me more wisdom and endurance!

Candy From The Block

Don't be fooled by the jobs that I got
I'm still, I'm still Candy from the block
Used to have a little, now I have a lot
No matter where I go, I know where I came from (from Wang Tau Hom!)
...
I'm down to earth like this
Rockin this business
I've grown up so much
I'm in control and loving it
Rumors got me laughing, kid
Love my life and my public
Put God first
Then can't forget to stay real
To me it's like breathing
...
It take hard work to cash checks
So don't be fooled by the jobs that I got, now assets
You get back what you put out
Even if you take the good route
Can't count the hood out
After a while, you know who to blink with
Just keep it real with the ones came in with
Best thing to do is stay low, LOX and Sweet Mok
Act like they don't, but they know

I have made a twist from the one of the J Lo's songs I heard in the Cycling class today. People, please do not envy me because I have something looks cool. It really takes time and effort to EARN it. No Pain No Gain!

Kowloon True Light Middle School Alumni Association

Ktlalumnus1

Glad! Our cabinet has had our first meeting today. Ng Pui San (Class of 1990) will be the president from June 2006 to May 2008. We are committed to provide an excellent networking platform and host variety type of reunion events to reconnect with True Light, schoolmates & teachers for our members.

Therefore, each of committees will contact her previous, current and next graduation class this summer. For example, I will contact schoolmates who graduated at 1997, 1998 & 1999 which means that I will be in touch with 360 ladies more or less. (Watch out for my phone call, True Light Girls!)

In addition, our first kick off event will be a short trip to the True Light Nursing Home at July 29 (Sun), 2006 (To be confirmed). Spending time, sharing joy, showing love, bringing gifts, playing fun games, talking with the elderly... as a small group of hardworking individuals, we look forward to making a difference in this busy society.

On the other hand, we attended 真光情永繫─梁燕婷校長榮休感恩會 this afternoon. Dr. Leung was a very sincere principal of True Light Middle school of Hong Kong and a loyal servant of the Lord in North Point Church. She gave thanks to God for everything she has received and experienced in True Light. Although she was neither my teacher nor principal, I was touch by her spirit and she was very thoughtful to give beautiful cell phone tags to every guest which reminded each of the True Light Girls to be the Light of the World.

Last but not least, please pray for the Kowloon True Light Middle School Alumni Association since we are new and thrilled to serve. May God use us to bring our True Light sisters together once again!

New Friends from Myoga

One benefit of joining a new brand new yoga studio is to meet new friend. Since we are still in the exploration stage, most of us just join the class and bold together without particular preference.

Shu Yee, Annie and I have taken the Flora's Dance class a few times. We always share class tips and chat about the gym facilities in the Sauna room. They are very Cool ladies and I enjoy their companies.

My parents will be gone for two days

Cool... I am very glad to have a short break from my parents. They are going to one of our relative's Wedding Banquet in Mainland China. My home will be quite for two days without the TV noise. I could be at my home according to my own pace. Isn't nice?

Mexican Food

It was a great experience to bring my parents to a Mexican Restaurant in Soho last night, as they never visited one in their lifetime. We ordered Mexican Beer, 7 Layer Nachos and BBQ Pork Burrito. The food was so tasty and made us feel so full. Then, they left to watch the World Cup in Victoria Park for the game - Korea vs. Togo.

Personal Space

Do you have enough personal space?

In Hong Kong, most of us don't have because the properties are extremely expensive with the limited selections. Maybe the only personal space is the bed.

Honestly, I miss my studio at 2021, 4th Ave #506, Seattle, WA 98121 so much. This address was not only a place, but a record of my growth.

At the beginning, living by myself was not easy. Loneliness and insecurity were part of the package that I needed to deal with. However, quietness and solitude were the most enjoyment moment. I learned to spend time with myself and worked on projects individually.

Now, Passing by the interior design showrooms and furniture stores, I always feel so excited and start thinking of my new home.

If I have some more personal space, here is my list I would like to do.

- Design my home
- Put stuff in my own rule
- Sleep naked
- Play whatever music I like
- Cook often
- Host more home party
- Create my own spa
...

Therefore, I need to execute the list as well in order to fulfill my dream.

- Save More $ & Make More $
- Make more wiser investment decision
- Look for the Deal
- Ask around

Here I claim, my dream shall come true soon.

Money, Money, Money...

Being an adult... I gotta make a money for myself, my family, the government. Otherwise, I will be in trouble. Is there anyway that I could stop making money and start living?

HELP!

Nothing comes easy

There are a few goals that I would like to reach soon. Working extra hard, reading more related articles, asking thought through questions to professionals... will help!

First Pilates Class

PILATES is very new to me. Louisa, the friendly Pilates Instructor introduced the basic Pilates and explain the application the use of the roller to the class today. Since the breathing was different than yoga, getting used to breathe naturally was the first priority.

Then, we did a few balance poses which could strengthen the lower bodies and tone our overall bodies in shape. Although most of the movements were very slow, I did sweat a lot when I held the positions.

In my humble opinion, Pilates is very good sport for everybody. I shall continue to learn Pilates and get the result soon.

World Cup 2006

My dad has put up the Game Schedule on the back of the door and has sat up the whole month Game recording on his antique VCR. Watching Football Game is his favorite hobby.

Personally, Football is fine for me as long as football players are handsome.

Is that a sin?

Sleep Well

Balance Lifestyle... is it what you are looking for now?

Personally, I do... I am making an effort to have sky rocking career, happy family, great friends, diversified networking, profitable investment portfolio, get in shape, stay young, physically and a spiritually healthy...

One thing for sure... I need to sleep well, stay calm and relax.

May I have a day off on my blog today?

Dancing Queen

Taking the Dance Class of Jazz/ Funk last night, it was unbelievable fun! Flora's dance move was brilliant and I wished that I could learn at least 20% of hers. Anyway, I am more comfortable dancing with beginners in the smaller group now. Thanks to Myoga has been just open for a few days.

On the other hand, there are 6 classes left in Physical Fitness now. I will reserve those classes for Yoga in July because I will be able to compare my progress and improvement in Myoga.

Bright Start at Monday Morning

Waking up extra early today for my very first Hot Yoga Class, I felt so excited and nervous. Ray, the instructor of mY HOT I (Y2) adjusted the temperature to 30'C for the beginners like me. He planned to increase it gradually day by day until it reaches 38"C in two weeks.

Moreover, I have met Carrie, a new friend from the studio. She works in Mongkok. Now, I feel Cool and have a bright start for this week. Let's ROCK!

Have a good yoga work out!

Ashtanga Clinic (2) by Eva & Hatha (1) by Dileep... do they sound familiar to you?
Well, I had two nice yoga classes tonight. Although most of us were beginners and took time to improve, Eva and Dileep demonstrated the examples clearly and corrected our poses with care. Thank you!

On the other hand, I have found that I am making progress after taking this sport seriously for three months. Giving my best in class, having classes at least three times a week, pushing myself to the limit in the stretching and asking intelligent questions to instructors were part of my strategies.

Definitely, there are many friendly and helpful yoga instructors in Physical Fitness now. If its hardware such as cleanness of yoga matt, indoor temperature, lighting, queuing system have been upgraded, I might join their member next year.

Lastly, I do miss Susana's coaching style and the drills. She has encouraged us with a few words as below.

1) 量力而為- act according to one's ability

2) 不和別人比較- Do not compare yourself with other people

3) Take your time.

Something true

Watching Friends - “319 - The One With The Tiny T-Shirt” last late night, I have found a few scripts were so true as below.

Monica: Okay. Umm, y'know, I don't think, I don't think I told you
this, but umm, I just got out of a really serious relationship.

Pete:    Oh, yeah. Wasn't that like a year ago?

Monica: So I did tell you. Okay, y'know, that really isn't the thing.
Umm, the thing is that, right now I'm just in a place in my
life where I need to focus on me. Y'know what I mean?

Waking up extra early this morning

It was 6:42am ... unbelievable early... I have researched on current trend, checked emails and read blog randomly. It was cool and I enjoyed the early quite moment in the middle of busy city on Sunday.

Become a Myoga Member

Joey Cheuk is my Myoga membership consultant. I have committed myself for the following twelve months from June 3, 2006 to June 2, 2007 as their member. Although I am scared of commitment, my health and body are more important. I look forward to getting in shape and living healthily.

Thank you very much for your extra push tonight, Joey!

So glad to have Stanley as my client! Ghost Ghost Call, his very first magazine has been succeeded and Vol. 3 has just been released. My printing team has worked for his publications for more than 3 months. So far so fun!

Meanwhile, the cover is echo back to "Bus Uncle", the phenomenon in the World. Let's check it out!

KGV Art Exhibition

It was a good show and I enjoyed checking out the student's portfolios. Their works were very impressive and their sketch books showed their hard work. Moreover, Fred, April and Ann was so friendly to me during the art book production. Thank you!

On the other hand, the Exhibition did remind the memory of my portfolio day in The Art Institute of Seattle three years ago. I was nervous and got as earlier as possible to reserve my space. That day I dressed professionally and brought my very first set of business cards.
