To lonely singles
Translation:
Sometimes
It is not that you dump one,
or one cheats on you,
Rather than the time is up,
Just naturally SPILT.
It's not your fault.

Rather than the time is up,
Just naturally SPILT.
It's not your fault.
Let's move on and eventually the time heals you...
P.S. It's not from me, but somebody else who has no gut to admit.

Thanks for stopping by at this very moment!
It might take longer time for you to browser online and not be able to chat with you friends through MSN or Yahoo Messengers since the Taiwan quakes broke undersea cables. People should not glue themselves on the computer desk anymore, but try to do fun activities in order to overcome temporary depression.
Since the majority of the media are analyzing on the damage of the Internet congestion, let’s state the positive predictions for the general public:
1) Smart adults will go shopping instead of waiting for the webpage to be loaded on the computer screens. The retail sales will go up.
2) Kids will start clean their rooms earlier this year and spend more time with their family and friends. Relationships will be restored and improved.
3) People will have more time to do physical exercise, read books, cook, chat more in person… eventually, they will be more healthy mentally, spiritually, emotionally and physically.
Of course, I believe that you have already experienced the side effects of the Disrupted Internet Service now.
Be patient and thanks for stopping by!

First name & last name
2000 Spring Break
Gianluca introduced Eamonn Keogh, his UCI roommate to Candy. There were many candles, chairs and table that were made with traffic road signs by Eamonn at their home. Also, Candy broke 1 water glass at Eamonn's bedroom, but he still gave her fruit juice from his refrigerator.
.
.
He studied hard and earned his way up in California...
Candy studied and worked hard too in Seattle. She has moved back to Hong Kong since Sept 2004
They lost the contact...

2006 Fall
Candy prepared the research paper for the fashion consumer behavior class. His name popped up at her head and his contact was found by Google search engine. She sent him an email and received a reply from him that he was invited to the computer conference on December.

They met again and took the photo as above...

Time flies... remember your friend’s first name and last name. You will meet them eventually.

Online words of wishdom (Part 1)
The law of cause and effect is a natural law. In physics it is translated to mean, "action and reaction are always equal and opposite." What you give is in direct proportion to what you get. In computer parlance, it is GIGO, "garbage in, garbage out." There is no free lunch anywhere except in a mouse trap.
Life has no bargain counters. Everything has a price which must be paid in one form or another. No man is smart enough to cheat life. It has been tried by the smartest of men without success. You cannot get something for nothing. What a farmer sows is what he reaps.
Life is like a cafeteria. You take your tray, select your food and pay at the other end. You can get anything you want as long as you are willing to pay the price. In a cafeteria, if you wait for people to serve you, you will wait forever. Life is like that too. You make choices and pay the price to succeed. Anyone who desires to go contrary to this natural course of events is on the highway to poverty.
Poverty is a choice. Wealth is also a choice. What determines which you choose, is your thought process followed by positive action. That is what makes the difference.

Maja, a sweet Swedish lady
Time flies... Maja, one of the exchange students from Sweden will leave Hong Kong on next Wednesday after the one semester exchange program. I still remember the first time we met in the class, took the mid term, chit chat during the break, shared her country culture, study experience and girl talk with other classmates and me ... she is very sweet and friendly lady. Hope we shall see each other again.
Thank you very much for the friendship, Maja!

Photolurking, blog streaking and cheesepodding: The new Internet addictions
Tue Dec 19, 2:43 PM ET
The Internet has given birth to a quirky range of modern addictions and maladies, the British weekly New Scientist says in its Christmas issue published this Saturday.
They include these:
- EGO-SURFING: When you frequently check your name and reputation on the Internet.
- BLOG STREAKING: "Revealing secrets or personal information online which for everybody's sake would be best kept private."
- CRACKBERRY: "The curse of the modern executive: not being able to stop checking your BlackBerry, even at your grandmother's funeral." (A BlackBerry is a popular handheld device that can be used for phoning, emailing and web-browsing).
- GOOGLE-STALKING: Defined as "snooping online on old friends, colleagues or first dates."
- CYBERCHONDRIA: "A headache and a particular rash at the same time? Extensive online research tells you it must be cancer."
- PHOTOLURKING: Flicking through a photo album of someone you've never met.
- WIKIPEDIHOLISM: Excess devotion to contributing to the online collaborative encyclopaedia, Wikipedia. (Wikipedia even has a page where you can test whether you're an addict: (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Are-You-a-Wikipediholic-Test)).
- CHEESEPODDING: Downloading of a song "so cheesy that you could cover it in plastic wrap and sell it at the deli counter." Cheesepodders are especially vulnerable to soft-rock favourites from the 1970s.
