Uncertainty is good
Travel is not all about fun, relax, endulging yourself, taking beautiful photo, sightseeing, shopping, sun & beach...
but also about meeting new friends, problem solving, facing challenge, taking risk, dealing with strangers, learning and respect other culture.
Thank God! Finally I get it.
For myself, learn how to read map. :)

Salesmanship
“A sale isn't a thing, it's a process. It isn't standing still, it's moving. It isn't one long job, it's a series of smaller jobs.”
- Anonymous
Dear Candy:
Some sales people see selling as a one-time deal, and they will tell their customers anything in order to close that deal. This method eventually catches up to them. Here are some tips on improving customer trust, enhancing your reputation and building long-term customer relationships:
- See things from the buyer's point of view
- Build rapport with your buyer. Ask questions
- Gain the buyer's interest by stating the benefits of your product
- Show credibility by using evidence

Gotta win it no limit, strong women we are.
Chorus:
Where them girls at. (girls at).
That like to be in charge.
When the heat get too hot, they just keep turnin’ it up.
Never let ‘em cheat-sheet, they just sweat, gotta go hard.
Where those winning women thats really willin to take it off!
Where them girls at. (girls at).
That like to be in charge.
When the heat gets too hot, just keep turnin’ it up.
Never let ‘em cheat-sheet, they just sweat, gotta go hard.
Where those winning women thats really willin to take it off!
Verse one:
Uh-uh-uh-uh huh.
When you see both of us on catwalk representing our culture.
Uh-uh-uh-uh huh.
Well the time and day has changed, where the women wear the pants without changing the last name.
Uh-uh-uh-uh huh.
Where the word diva, diva, mean viva, viva, we run las vegas.
Uh-uh-uh-uh huh.
And then the stock exchange, bang, than we got claim to the change.
All, all, all a girl want, wants.
All a girl need, needs.
Its just all those, simple things like to be cared for.
Just to have him, be there for.
All that matters, it’s those sweet things.
That’s all a girl really wants.
Chorus:
Where them girls at. (girls at).
That like to be in charge.
When the heat get too hot, they just keep turnin’ it up.
Never let ‘em cheat-sheet, they just sweat, gotta go hard.
Where those winning women thats really willin to take it off!

Verse two:
Uh-uh-uh-uh huh.
We are too confident, me and her talk to phil, never happen again.
Uh-uh-uh-uh huh.
We don’t wait, we get paid, for a trait holiday, we sip lemonade.
Uh-uh-uh-uh huh.
Instead of doing what he wants, we do what we want, buying homes in geneva.
Uh-uh-uh-uh huh.
Like when the sound baby glance, rings, and that means more than things.
All, all, all a girl want, wants.
All a girl need, needs.
Its just of those, simple things like to be cared for.
Just to have him, be there for.
All that matters, it’s those sweet things.
That’s all a girl really wants.
Chorus x2:
Where them girls at. (girls at).
That like to be in charge.
When the heat get too hot, they just keep turnin’ it up.
Never let ‘em cheat-sheet, they just sweat, gotta go hard.
Where those winning women thats really willin to take it off!

Blog entry from Somebody in Boeing (Continue...)
This is an older one, but good thoughts they are.
Winner's Circle Network with Lou Tice - 11/8/06 - "Worry Time"
What are you trying to avoid in your life? I'll give you a few tips that will help you avoid trouble the easy way.
Most of us try to avoid certain things in life - poverty, depression, unhappiness, stress, illness and pain, to name just a few. It makes sense to want to avoid these things as much as possible. However, some people spend an enormous amount of time worrying about how to avoid them or about how to cope with them IF they do occur.
Just by spending that much time worrying, you are pretty much eliminating the possibility of feeling happy. You are also raising your stress level, thereby weakening your immune system, which makes you more susceptible to illness and pain. Depression often follows. And, if you feel this badly, you're probably not going to be doing very well at work or school, either.
You see what I'm getting at? The fact is that we move toward and become like that which we think about. If you spend most of your time worrying about something, you shouldn't be too surprised when it shows up in your life.
You know, someone once said that worry is "interest paid on trouble before it comes due." Now, you wouldn't think of doing this with your money, would you? So why in the world would you do it with something far more precious than money - your time and your very life?
So ask yourself, for every minute you spend worrying, what could you be thinking about instead?

Meet a sweet lady from Mix
After getting the EURO and GB Pound from Berlin Exchange shop in Central, I had a nice brunch at Mix.
"Hi! Could you watch my bag? I gonna check out the friegh." An Asian lady with a sexy colorful low cut dress put her belonging on the counch opposite to mine.
"Ok" I said while bitting the lamb wrap.
...
"Are you chinese? Sounds like from Vancouver, Canada" She asked.
"Yes. I am 100% chinese, made in Hong Kong. I know... I don't look like "Hong Kong". I am everything. When I was in the States, people thought that I was Mexcian. When I'm here, people thought that I am Philipino or Thai, but not chinese." I told her kindly as I have repeated saying to many new friend at the first self-introduction.
"Well, I studied in Chicago before... I am working nearby..."
...
After 20mins of chatting about life in Hong Kong, studies in the States, career, guys and upcoming event, we exchanged our number and had a good bye hug.
Wow... I just made a new friend today.
Cool Mix!
PS. Hope to see you again, May!

Imagine
"Imagination is more important than knowledge.”
- Albert Einstein
Dear Candy:
The creative process has great value in business. It is a series of ordered steps utilizing the principles of creative thinking to analyze a problem or opportunity in a systematic, unbiased and seemingly "unconventional" way. Here is that 9-step process that may surprise you with its wide range of applications:
- Visualization
- Fact-finding
- Problem finding
- Idea finding
- Solution finding
- Acceptance finding
- Implementation
- Follow-up
- Evaluation

Blog entry from Somebody in Boeing
Have been meaning to write this for a long time already. I took a course called Investment In Excellence, offered through the Pacific Institute. Lou Tice is the founder of the organization. This course is being offered at my work and looks like the goal is to get all 350+ people to take the course.
For those who do not know, Lou Tice was actually the Kennedy High School Football Coach. One of his buddies is Pete Carroll, head coach of the USC Football team. But this post is not about Football.
This post is about Lou Tice as an influential teacher, striving to help bring out the best of every individual that he teaches.
One thing he does is that every day, he would send to his mailing list a "thought of the day." I will continue to put the ones I really like up here.
Winner's Circle Network with Lou Tice - 11/6/06 - "Victim Mentality"
Do you feel that you're a victim? Now it is possible that you are, but accepting that label may be doing you more harm than good.
Victims generally feel that something bad has happened to them and they, themselves, are in no way responsible for it. Now, authentic victims certainly do exist - let's be perfectly clear on that. However, in a book called, "A Nation of Victims," Charles Sykes pointed out that far too many of us have grown adept at finding someone else to blame for our problems and ignoring our own personal responsibility for them.
When you give up accountability for any aspect of your life, you also give up control. When you give up control, you're basically saying, "There's nothing I can do about it. There's no hope of improvement." What kind of example are you setting for the young people in your life?
You see, the mindset of a victim is one of powerlessness, and with a mindset like that, you get used to behaving like a victim. It's a vicious cycle that can turn into a downward spiral, if you're not careful. For the protagonists of America's school shootings, the bottom of that spiral has been violence.
For the most part, they have believed themselves to be victims.
With the "mid-term" elections in the U.S. tomorrow, we have been flooded with TV and radio ads for weeks, even months. How many of those ads have tried, through the words used and the pictures portrayed, to make us feel like victims? To put the blame on "the other guy" or the other political party?
Is Mr. Sykes right? Have people come to define themselves, not so much by shared culture, but by their status as victims of just about everything - parents, men, women, the workplace, stress, drugs, alcohol, food, physical characteristics, racism, the "in crowd" and that great faceless thing called "the system?"
I'm afraid there's more than a little truth in this assertion. What do you think? Isn't it time we all take on a bit more accountability for our actions?

A hair salon scam in Hong Kong
Hair Salon scam in Hong Kong
July 30 (Mon), 2007 around 5:00pm
There was an ad in front of the hair salon at my home. It showed that with the package of HK$198.00, customer could enjoy the hair coloring service and hot oil treatment. Therefore, I asked a few questions regarding the service and check the price of hair cut if added into the package with their staff. After agreeing HK$50- the cost of hair cut, the young women with a cap led me to the chair and dyed my hair into dark purple as I instructed her to do so.
“Sorry, Madam! As your hair was just dyed into dark purple, we suggest that you should have the hot oil treatment next time in order to preserve your hair color.” She sounded so professional with caring voice.
“No problem. How could I get the treatment then next time?” I asked.
“Ok. We will issue a card and you could redeem it anytime.” She said.
.
.
.
I left this salon with the card for the next treatment and paid HK$248.00 with cash.
August 5, 2007 around 5:00pm again
After borrowing a few travel books in the Lok Fu Public library, I went into the salon and redeemed the hot oil treatment.
Same young women greeted me and instructed me to have a hair wash before oil treatment. A middle age women with a heavy mainland Chinese accent told me that I should upgrade my oil treatment. She did not explain why and just kept talking during the hair wash. Surely, the upgrade idea was rejected and young women continued the hot oil treatment.
30 min later with the completion of the hair blow drying, I left the salon and asked the young women if I needed to do anything.
“Just go to the counter.” She said
“Madam. HK$49.00 please!” Another middle age women with a glasses.
“What is the HK$49.00 about?” I asked surprisingly.
“It is for hair washing.”
“Why didn’t the card show that the cost?”
“It is a common practice here.”
Then, there was a manager came and told me that I should pay HK$49.00 because of using their service. Otherwise, they would call the police.
“Sorry, I’m not sure if I should pay this time as your salon has not mentioned to me at all. The young girl there has not told me anything about the cost of hair wash. Please call the police.”
15 minutes later. The police came and asked for my id card while asking me the case. I was little bit scared, not because of money, but I have found that I might left my id card at the counter of library.
Therefore, I showed them my student id and driver license instead. They trusted my testimony and calmed me down.
“Madam. I believe that it’s a communication problem. Since you have not asked the charge of service in detail to the staff and they never mentioned the hidden cost of hair washing. There are two options:
1) You pay HK$49.00 now and file a complaint to the consumer council with this case number later.
2) We will charge you for not paying the service because of …”
Here are my questions:
1) Since the hair could not be preserved to the coloring after the hot oil treatment, why would they make them together as a package?
2) Is "hair washing" a hidden cost? Or it is a unwritten law if customer prefers to have hot oil treatment next time and be willing to pay the cost along?
3) Am I not local enough and not familiar with the hair salon business nowadays?
My suggestion next time from the Consumer Council.

Do you know how to fix it?
It is so troublesome. My new Dopod 838 Pro has a problem on the Windows Media and could not create a song list. That's mean that I have to click the song everytime to switch to the next one. HELP!!!
Two more weeks... Travel in England & France!
So excited!
Can't believe that this is my turn to travel by myself in these two beautiful countries. I have booked the flight, train and accommodation already. The only thing left to do so is to pack and go. I am sure this trip will be one of my highlight in life. Thank you very much for those who are helping me to make this dream come true!
