Persistence works

“Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan "press on" has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.”

- Calvin Coolidge

Dear Candy:

The person who goes the farthest is usually the one who is persistent and who has the will to do and dare. Here are some tips on perseverance:

- Build greater self-confidence
- Be resolved to succeed
- Reflect on how those who have faced tremendous obstacles and suffered major setbacks overcame the odds and still found success
- Set goals and achieve them
- Surround yourself with a supportive environment

Repeat is Good

- Nothing wrong to do the same thing over and over again unless it is a illegal act.
- "Repeat" could help us to learn more in-depth.
- Don't be greedy to do everything at once.

Thanks for a wonderful message, Mr. Poon!

Veggie Tales Theme Song

A fun song that I learned during the exchange program at Lake City, Michigan in 1999.

Friday, February 23, 2007

An anti-war song... wish you like it...

I Hope- Dixie Chicks

Sunday morning, I heard the preacher say
Thou shall not kill
I don't wanna, hear nothin' else, about killin'
And that it's God's will
Cuz our children are watching us
They put their trust in us
They're gonna be like us
So let's learn from our history
And do it differently

CHORUS:
I hope
For more love, more joy and laughter
I hope
We'll have more than we'll ever need
I hope
We'll have more happy ever afters
I hope
We can all live more fearlessly
And we can lose all the pain and misery
I hope, I hope

Oh Rosie, her man he gets too rough
And all she can say, is he's a good man
He don't mean no harm
He was just brought up that way
But our children are watching us
They put their trust in us
They're gonna be like us
It's okay for us to disagree
We can work it out lovingly

For I hope
For more love, more joy and laughter
I hope
You'll have more than you'll ever need
I hope
You'll have more happy ever afters
I hope
And you can all live more fearlessly
And you can lose all your pain and misery
I hope, I hope

There must be a way to change what's going on
No, I don't have all the answers

I hope
For more love, more joy and laughter
I hope
you'll have more than you'll ever need
I hope
There'll be more happy ever afters
I hope
We can all live more fearlessly
And we can lose all the pain and misery
I hope, I hope

I hope
I hope
I hope

Justice (2006)

Ron Trott: "Like I always say... If you've got the right lawyer with you, we've got the greatest legal system in the world."

Watching Justice lately, I have found that it is a great show but not many people appreciation. Here are some of my findings.

- Very logical, professional & interesting story
- No Love Scene
- No Gossip

Maybe nowadays audience love to see the drama off the scene. That's what the show have been missing...

Another to bring the show back...

Dear Friends,

I have just read and signed the online petition: "Save JUSTICE"hosted on the web by PetitionOnline.com, the free online petitionservice, at:

http://www.PetitionOnline.com/justice0/

I personally agree with what this petition says, and I think you mightagree, too. If you can spare a moment, please take a look, and considersigning yourself.

Best wishes,

Bonnie & Sreeraj

I am thrilled to hear the wedding bells from Bonnie & Sreeraj, my lovely friends in Seattle. After three years of dating, Sreeraj proposed to Bonnie in Valentine’s Day 2007. So romantics!

Of course... I still remember the day when Bonnie, Bona and I danced in the Felix Underground and met Sreeraj in 2003. It's just like yesterday.

Do you dare?

“The man who goes the farthest is generally the one who is willing to do and dare. The sure-thing boat never gets from shore.”

- Dale Carnegie

Dear Candy:

In life you must be willing to take chances in order to achieve your goals. When taking chances, do so with conviction. Belief in yourself is a prerequisite to the leadership of others. People follow those they've come to respect. Here are some tips as to how to develop the skills of a leader:

- Be assertive when speaking with others, not aggressive
- Ask questions instead of giving direct orders
- Control the situations in your life instead of letting them control you
- Speak up on behalf of your ideas before someone else willingly does so for you

Thank you for being nice to me, group mates!

This semester is so busy, but fun. I am very happy to have many wonderful group mates and work on great projects together. Here are the highlights.

ITC 3613 Health Science with Sahara, Prisci, Chris, Andy & Jons
We are researching a better bra for breast cancer survivor and interviewing patients. It is a meaningful project and we enjoy sharing the tasks.

ITC 4614 Production & Technology with Maggie, Sahara, Prisci & Jons
We just completed our preliminary lab test today. Maggie was so helpful to prepare the "mouldabe" fabric for us from her company. Prisci & Sahara were the professional judges on the cup depths. Jons was surely a careful machine operator. We shall work on our lab test next tuesday afternoon.

ITC 4711 Creative Intimate Apparel Design with Callen, Amanda, Sahara & Prisci
We are developing a line for Une Nana Cool with the new embroidery patterns now. The new patterns will be based on the creation from the Bible. Day 1 to day 7... it gonna be fun!

Again, it's my pleasure to work with you all. Thank you!
